In accordance with the Mission Statement of SPBEA the aim of the Qualifications Unit is to provide high quality internationally accepted qualifications for member countries.

Goals

• To ensure that the qualifications provided for students are reliable, valid, fair, equitable and cost effective
  
• To provide students with a relevant range of valid assessment methods and a comparable standard of assessment within and across subjects, schools and countries
  
• To report student achievement which is informative and meaningful to all stakeholders
  
• To assist schools in having a higher degree of self-management in the operations of the qualifications.
